For a major insurer, Ajilitee conducted a comprehensive ICD-10 and BI assessment and developed a detailed inventory of data management assets. Ajilitee’s ICD-10 initiative was one of 10 projects in the client’s ICD-10 program, and the client praised Ajilitee’s work as setting the bar for other ICD-10 tracks.
For a multi-billion division of a top 5 health plan that wanted to ensure quality and consistency of care among its network of newly established Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Ajilitee applied its deep experience across healthcare, data integration, and analytics to integrate claims and clinical data coming from Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and laboratories in the form of HL7 and CCD reports. The lack of common master data for the patient across a range of source systems made it impossible to create a holistic view of the patient experience or perform analysis beyond basic reporting. The client now can perform analytics across its nationwide network of ACOs to measure quality and introduce quality improvements, and has the foundation to integrate with Health Information Exchanges.
For a regional health plan that wanted to define and implement a data governance strategy, including standing up a Data Governance Council and Stewardship groups, Ajilitee evaluated the current data governance program, including processes, organization, and technology, and created a gap analysis showing current state against a set of target focus areas. A governance “playbook” captured processes, roles and responsibilities, and various use cases. With Ajilitee’s guidance and mentoring, the client was able to introduce more clarity, accountability, and cohesiveness into its data governance model. The client leveraged the new data governance organization to support an ongoing EDW build.
For a provider of laboratory and mobile imaging services to long-term care facilities that wanted to improve Revenue Cycle Management and achieve better insight into the performance of product lines and regions, Ajilitee established a Financial Data Warehouse in a Managed Analytics environment with iterative builds to support more agile operations. The client needed the Financial Data Warehouse to support key lines of business, including Finance, Laboratory, and Mobile business units and derive insights from consolidated reporting on geography, product line, and customer profitability. They also wanted to achieve results cost-efficiently and quickly. Ajilitee conducted business requirements covering information, data, business process and organizational considerations with key stakeholders in IT and the business, then developed the data sourcing design, logical data model, and overall conceptual architecture and prototype for a cloud-based Financial Data Warehouse. Phase I of the Financial Data Warehouse is now live.
